# Multi-Aircraft Operations

Multi-aircraft operations involve two or more aircraft flying together in briefed formations or while performing combat maneuvers. This chapter provides the basis for flight techniques which allows multiple aircraft, including dissimilar aircraft, to safely fly in close proximity to each other while providing aircrews with SA and the ability to mass combat power. These techniques support the successful accomplishment assigned missions such as air assaults or attack/reconnaissance operations.
